Session 0 - Springing Forth to adventure!

Theron's artisan guild made contact through guild channels with Godrin to escort Theron to the temple deep in the Reaching forest, but provided little detail beyond that. Unknowingly having agreed to escort  drow, he had been paid half up-front for the job, and recruited some extra help to help protect them from the dangers of the forest, as its depths have proven more dangerous as of late.


Mmar was looking for a job at the notice board in the town square just as Godrin walked up, and was hired on the spot due to his stature and large maul on his back. The party met back up at the
Elated Raven Inn and met up with Erehorn as he approached the party as they sat drinking at their table. The final barrel of Dragonmint mead had been broken open and the party prepared for their morning journey.


Godrin led the party into the forest and came upon a clearing with many swords strewn around the area, knowing they'd have to cross this clearing, the party proceeded cautiously, and with good reason as four swords rose from the field of battle and floated toward them with purpose. The fight ended quickly, with minor injuries, as the swords were cast aside by swinging mauls and blasts of crackling energy.


After some more travel, the party came across the crumbling ruins of an old outpost, with some gravestones nearby. Mmar seemed to lose his wits and fall to the ground suddenly, prompting the party to prop him up nearby. The forest was growing rapidly nearby, closing in on the party as he mumbled in a daze, but some water from a nearby fountain in the ruins awoke him. The party cut their way through the growing vines and found a nearby place to camp for the night.
