Session 6 - Into the Well
Erehorn drinks in the Elated Raven
tavern while the party is out on Omalo's task, and is drawn outside
near the back of the tavern by some flashes of light he spotted through a
window. Outside he finds magical scoring on the cobblestone alleyway,
leading to a well between buildings in a small courtyard. Erehorn watches as a giant humanoid rat creature climbs from the well and asks him "Are you the one?" with a cocked head. Erehorn bluntly confirms and is immediately carried be hundreds of rats down into the well.
He wakes up the next morning alone in the well, except for an ancient skeletal corpse which yeilded only a few provisions and an envelope that contained a note and a small brass key.

Note from Altruzix that reads: "Enclosed are three portal keys. The small brass key leads to the master's meeting cathedral, the portal is in the well beneath town. The feather opens a portal to the sky fortress, opened at the foot of the mountain between two iron staves in the ground. The last is a patch of delicate silk, which opens a portal to the laboratories. Throw this into the pool on the south eastern side of the lake."

After investigating the well further, Erehorn finds a small portal which rats are periodically passing both into and out of, but it's not large enough for him to fit through. Remebering his note he opened the portal with his small brass key and passes through into a large room that is pitch black. He decides to come back with the party just in case there is trouble.
Zarzeros takes the cultist helm to the grand cleric to be destroyed, but the helm resists destruction through some foul magic. The grand cleric suggests that the magic item is too powerful to be destroyed by his methods, and suggest that the source of its power must be near. Zarzeros fruitlessly searches town for hints at the location of this evil, but finds little so he regroups with the party.
Erehorn casually suggests he may know the source of the evil, and reports his recent findings to the party. The party ventures down into the well and Erehorn open the portal for the party to pass through.
